So God Made a Farmer
Documenting farm life is something I've been doing as a personal project for over 5 years now. In 2019, I decided to extend that to other area farms as well. I cannot tell you how much enjoyment I'm getting out of visiting local farms and meeting the hard working families that run them. It is so much fun to watch the kids run to grandpa for a ride in the combine, follow farm wives as they deliver a meal to their husband in the field during harvest, and to love on so many dogs and other animals.
This all started as something I decided to do so my son could look back at one day. All because I know I'd give anything to have photos of my grandpa doing the day-to-day work on our family farm. The more I do and share shows that not many people know what all goes into a farming operation. This project is allowing that to be documented.
If you'd like your family farm to be included in this project, there is no cost to you for me to come and take photos. I just ask that you fill out a few questions about the farm and the history so it can all be included when I'm ready to publish everything into print (like an album or magazine that will be put together by me). As many do ask, there is certainly an option to order the photos as well.
You can reach me at kerihamiltonphotgraphy@gmail.com, or by messaging through my Facebook business page. I like to visit all types of farms, and especially love documenting people at work and not just the equipment running. It can be anything from feeding livestock or bottle babies, shearing sheep, making jam, gardening, quilting on the porch, taking lunch to the field, repairing equipment, etc.
